The loss of jobs in our district during the decline of the 1980s has erased population and
cost too many towns the critical mass of population and commerce needed to create
new jobs and make existing ones more secure. Real-world solutions require real-world,
private-sector jobs to spur growth.
From additional vocational and skilled labor, educational training programs in our
schools, to an end to overregulation, Harrisburg needs to put a new focus on bringing
back real industry to the 33rd District. The Allegheny Valley can’t subsist nor
economically grow on Walking Around Money projects that don’t produce revenue nor
solve the underlying economic problem. Vibrant Communities with family sustaining
jobs is a right of every Pennsylvanian and state government needs to focus on creating
the climate to make this possible.
